We’re looking forward to Columbus Day weekend, October 10 to 12! The Jenzabar Foundation will be a host and sponsor at the Millennium Campus conference 2014 at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. The Millennium Campus Network (MCN) is a nonprofit that seeks to build partnerships, maximize student impact, advance global development, and empower a generation (http://www.mcc2014.org/). This is the largest annual event to unite student leaders from more than over 1,000 universities worldwide. These students will convene to form partnerships to tackle extreme poverty and voice perspectives on international development.
Some of the key guest speakers are as follows:
-

-
Kristin Davis, Actress, Oxfam Ambassador
-
Dr. Paul Farmer, Founder, Partners in Health, Advisor, The Millennium Campus Network

In addition to the student conference, the Jenzabar Foundation has partnered with MCN to produce the Millennium Executive Track, featuring discussions and presentations including leaders from American colleges and universities, the US government, media, national non-profits, foundations and corporations. MCN also will showcase their celebrated Millennium Fellowship and host an interactive conversation on how students can form effective cross-sector partnerships to prepare for a lifetime of informed global service.
The Jenzabar Foundation helped launch the Millennium Campus Network (MCN) and houses MCN in our Boston headquarters. Among our objectives at this conference is to share some best practices and ideas for improving an institution’s student success. Along with MCN, we recognize that active student involvement with student groups doing service and mission work leads to higher retention and persistence to graduation.
We are committed to supporting student success generally, and specifically on your campus in a variety of ways, many of which we will have the opportunity to explore at this event. So join us this Columbus Day weekend and stay tuned on Facebook, twitter, and Instagram because we will be posting and keeping you updated on the awesome events that will be occurring at Lynn university in Boca Raton, Florida!
